Good place to visit. View will be spectacular particularly on a clear day. Mt Yutoi which is Mt Fuji of Hokkaido , can be seen from here. At the middle of the lake Nakajima islands is there and can be accessed by boat to visit one musium. Nearby another mountain named Mt Usu and Showa shinzan one can visit. Mt Usu have its ropeway and from the mountain summit Lake Toya, Mt Showa shinzan can be visible.
Very nice view and there is a super chill vibe over there. You can enjoy the free footbath or also stay in the onsen hotel for relaxing experience. During winter time there is nothing much to do but summer time you can trekking and cycling around the lake. Summer time they also have a 20 to 25 mins fireworks daily. You can enjoy the fireworks and onsen together or maybe to join their fireworks night cruise.
Beautiful lake but difficult to travel
You have to take a bus from toya st. to toyako onsen st.
Lake is very huge . You cannot walk around but can rent a car or bicycle
This lake is wonderful and very beautiful to see. I took the pictures from the hotel room at toya kanko. It was a cold winter day. Unforgettable memory for us
STAY AWAY around 1st of November, the amount of flies were crazy I had around 20-30 stuck to me trying to get this picture.
I could tell the scenery was actually nice though, if it was more sunny and no flies would be great, although at this time you cannot even get close to the lake
Took the loss on my hotel and just went back to sapporo, it was that bad.
This is one of the most beautiful place near Sapporo. Outstanding views. You can also rent boats and enjoy the boat riding.
Đến thăm Hồ Toya vào một ngày thời tiết rất đẹp,
Khung cảnh thật đẹp, hùng vĩ và rất mát mắt, thoải mái.
Nơi đây các nhà lãnh đạo G7 đã gặp nhau.
Pit stop along the way to sapporo during winter in feb. The lake is so vast and amazing with a small island in the center. This lake doesnt freeze over during winter. There is a rope way to the top and a free visitor center of sorts to view the history of this area. In the town there is also a bear zoo to view the bears. Overall a good stop over for photos and a lunch break.
